Outfit: Pinstripes & Needles

I get a real kick out of photographing in tight city areas in which it appears as if I'm traversing the countryside. It really is an eye-opener to stumble upon these kinds of places. If you recall my fascination with power lines, you'll understand that I've always wanted to get real close to one. This nursery had a "Private Property" sign posted to the diamond wire gates. Normally, it's locked tight. However, we found it unlocked that day. How lucky, I thought. The gates were swung wide open, beckoning us with a loud and welcoming, "Please come in!". And so we did - only a few feet though. The last thing I wanted to do was to have someone chasing us out with a broom or worse! This is as close as I'll probably ever get.

As I had mentioned on Instagram a couple of weeks ago, this new-to-me vintage dress was purchased from Ginger's Booty at my local farmers market. I've finally gotten the chance to blog about it. I had seen it on display and strolled past it. However, the damage was done. I could not forget about it even after I bought a big bag of fresh juicy cherries and a bag of freshly roasted unsalted peanuts. I came back to it and had it in my possession. The urge to wear it was irresistible and I wore it the next day. I probably should have washed it before but “To hell with it!” I said and hastily threw it on. I did wear a slip underneath though so I should be safe, right? And yes, it is unfortunately a bit see-through. I really have no desire to taint innocent eyes. My sister called me a grandma. All the better. And why should it matter? Style is for everyone!
