Outfit: A Date to Remember

John and I celebrated our 8th year anniversary last Saturday. We didn't do anything spectacular. No bouquet of brilliant roses. No romantic movies or candle-lit dinner. No frills, no drama. It was a day like any other. Almost. We dined at our favorite AYCE sushi restaurant. We're huge fans of nigiri sushi (sashimi too) but don't always feel like shelling out big bucks for the really good stuff. This restaurant is better than all the AYCE sushi buffets we've ever been to. It's not high quality but it's better than decent. Anyway, we've kept it pretty simple over the years. We've had plenty of fanciful things in the first few years and that was plenty enough.

As you can see, I kept my outfit pretty simple. I've come to love this denim jacket so much! I especially love to layer it over nice, cozy sweaters. It's too bad I haven't come into the habit of photographing the outfits I wear to work. I haven't overcome that self-consciousness yet. And besides, there's hardly enough time to bust out my DSLR and set up a photo shoot for myself. Silly me, that's what the weekends are for! Unfortunately, I don't ever really feel like wearing that particular outfit again by that time.

  1. OH MY GOD! CONGRATULATIONS ON 8TH ANNIVERSARY, ZOEY!
I'm so happy for you guys and wish you well for the years to come. Also, maybe introduce John to the blog sometime? *winkwink
Celebrating doesn't always have to be fancy, as long as you're with the people that you love and do the things you enjoy, it's still a celebration, right? Hope Firu and I will reach the milestone you've reached too soon!
