Outfit: A Spring in My Step

If this had been me many years ago, before I ever considered linen as a type of material for apparel, I would have thought this dress was the potato sack’s more refined cousin. Well, look at me now. I find it very comfortable in hot weather. And it being a shift dress makes it all the more refreshing. I absolutely cannot stand clingy material in 85+ degree weather. I already find the air outside stifling with the cloying scent and weight of smog and melting pavement. My skin needs to breathe!

When flatforms began to appear everywhere, I didn’t think much of them until I saw these flatform espadrilles. These have become my go-to sandals. They’re easy to walk in and are a great addition to a fresh, summer look. I have in mind to wear them with my similarly striped dress, but that might be overkill. Who ever said fashion had to make sense anyway?
