This outfit is from this past weekend. Lavender is my favorite color and lilac is a close second. Invariably, I am drawn to purple hues. Cooler tones in general. Never been a fan of red - aside from red lippies, but that's another matter altogether! I'd been searching many months for the perfect lavender floral maxi dress and lo-and-behold the most beautiful thing that ever crossed my eyes. I knew I'd never have any luck searching through for something like this at a department store (or I'm just lazy), and since I've always had good luck on Etsy, I found it. This was the one...the most perfect dress that ever existed, and I felt like it had been made just for me. Who cares if it once belonged to another and possibly as old as me? It is now mine and only mine. My precious... You already know, I'm never letting you go.

 As an effort to be a more conscious consumer, I've decided to choose thrift/vintage shopping as my main mode of acquiring "new" clothes. I recently uncovered this darling dress at my local thrift store. I was first drawn to its sweet floral print. Not obnoxiously loud but lovely and delicate. And as you already know, I'm a sucker for those sorts of things. Its lightweight material makes for a great summer dress. It isn't vintage, but that doesn't bother me. If it's something I like, I'll go for it - nevermind if it isn't at least 20 years old!

 These warm, balmy days have me wishing I was off in some Grecian island, enjoying the beautiful clear waters. While this dress that I purchased from Ross (yes, I shop there!)  has nothing to do with the country itself, the embroidered design does remind me of it. Essentially, if you notice, a lot of Greek inspired/styled dresses have some sort of embroidered trimming - albeit, many of them are often of gauzy or cotton white material. Of course, I've never traveled to Greece, so I have nothing to back this up. I am very interested in style/fashion and this is what I've noticed. I would dearly love to visit the country, but I heard it can get pretty hot during the summer. As you already know, summer isn't my favorite season. However, how could I possibly resist the beauty of Greece! If I should ever get to, I'd really love to taste authentic Greek cuisine.

 I enjoy wearing this vintage dress way too much. It's got gold accented zipped pockets. It's constructed of a very strong and soft polyester blend. I can easily get 5+ years more out of it. When I first saw it, however, I really thought it was baumwolle or a sort of corduroy. Anyway, I really enjoy blinding people with its bright Kelly Green shade. The color appears much more subdued in these photos, but it will definitely catch your eye if seen in person. It's one of the brightest article of clothing I own. I love to pair this dress with boots but I can't bear to stuff my feet into them this time of year!

While I normally never wear tank tops, I do make gracious exceptions during the sweat-inducing summer months. With this solid 90 degree weather we've been having, I don't want to wear anything at all!  But because tank tops are so thin and lightweight, they keep me cool. And because they are so thin and lightweight, I can't help but feel a little naked. They're something that I would wear underneath a see-through top or at home as part of my pjs.

 Good morning, everyone. These summer days have blasted all the creativity out of me, so I thought I'd do a slight remix of this outfit. It just so happens to be my very second outfit post as well. What a difference a year makes. The only thing I've swapped out are the sandals. Otherwise, the outfit is essentially the same. I simply cannot live without linen and light woven cotton these days. And don't forget those stripes to spice things up. On another note, I didn't realize I'd changed so much until I looked at the photos side by side. I sort of miss my short hair. If I recall correctly, I'd gotten one cut and two trims the entire year since. Not bad, I say!
