Outfit: Keeping It Fresh

While I normally never wear tank tops, I do make gracious exceptions during the sweat-inducing summer months. With this solid 90 degree weather we've been having, I don't want to wear anything at all!  But because tank tops are so thin and lightweight, they keep me cool. And because they are so thin and lightweight, I can't help but feel a little naked. They're something that I would wear underneath a see-through top or at home as part of my pjs.

And just out of curiosity, does anyone else suffer from summer bloat? I hate it. It's gotten better over the years. While my body tended to bloat, my ankles and feet suffered the worst. They would swell so much. By the end of the day, I'd feel this aching throb that wouldn't go away unless I propped my feet up for a while. I realized over the years that sitting or standing in one place for a prolonged period of time (a couple of hours) without moving resulted in severe swelling. Dehydration played a huge part in that as well. So, I've learned to move around (walking at a moderate pace) after every hour of sitting/standing. I did my best to get in at least 7-8 cups of water a day. The bloating is still there but I noticed my ankles and feet don't swell and ache so much anymore. Yay!

  1. You look lovely and not bloated at all! I've never even heard of summer bloating. But I guess that's because I'm in Sweden :P hehe
I agree with tank tops, vests (as we call them). They are for wearing underneath something, but when it's so hot you can't do much but to wear the minimum amount of clothing. Anyway you look very cute!
    Much love,
