Outfit: The Show Must Go On

It's been a rather stressful week to put it lightly. Things didn't work out the way I had hoped. I moped around for some time but eventually roused myself from the lethargic lull following a certain momentous event. I needed to get mind off things and this post was not going write itself. As famously quoted in Moulin Rouge (one of my favorite movies of all time),

"The show must go on."

On a lighter note, I'm completely in love with this 70s vintage Frye boots. The leather does have some fading and light damage but the wooden sole and woodstacked heel are gorgeous. It isn't terribly high which makes it great for walking around. I love how perfectly it goes with this swing dress. As soon as I get my lazy butt off to unshrink this dress I posted recently, I'm planning on wearing it with these boots. We've been going about our day, forgetting how fast the sky darkens now that we run out of time before we're able to capture decent pictures. As we were rushed for daylight, these pictures didn't come out as nice as I'd like. Such is life.

  1. This is such a gorgeous look! I have a similar dress from H&M, but I never thought to pair it boots! I'll have to see if I can pull off this look too. :)

  2. Oh man, those boots are so fabulous! What a great find. And I really like these pictures--the fading light looks so nice.

It's been a rough week, but I'm glad you're carrying on. I've seen so much spirit and support this week that I feel pretty determined to face whatever happens next...
